Be INCLUDED in a community art project

Public Invited to Participate in Unique Arts Project to Benefit Developmentally Disabled

Casa Art Studio Hopes “Inclusion” Project Will Promote Awareness,
Lead to More Opportunities for Disabled Citizens in Naples

Casa Art Studio invites the public to participate in a unique community arts project benefiting the developmentally disabled.   On Wednesday, February 2, community members will have an opportunity to add their talents to a painting, to be entitled “Inclusion”, intended to help raise awareness and funding for programs benefiting persons with disabilities.

This special project is being held by Casa Art Studio during Underground Arts Wednesday, a monthly arts event with 22 participating galleries sponsored by the North Naples Art Association. From 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on February 2, Casa Art Studio will make paints and brushes available to anyone who visits their gallery and who would like to contribute to the painting.

“We want the public to help us create a painting that expresses hope and opportunity,” said Steve Adams, co-owner of Casa Art Studio. “It doesn’t matter what talent level you have, anyone can contribute to this painting and help us make it something that inspires inclusion and a sense of community for all citizens.”

Steve and his wife Cynthia will complete the painting, which will then be do nate d to the Foundation for the Developmentally Disabled for auction at their fundraising gala, A Very Special Evening for Very Special People, on February 18. Funds raised from the auction help support the Foundation’s programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Casa Art Studio is also planning to partner with the Foundation in the spring to offer an arts workshop for their clients.

“Casa Art Studio is very much interested in engaging with the community and in giving back,” said Adams. “Adults with developmental disabilities are important members of this community and a special cause for me and my wife. The Foundation does great work, and we want to do what we can to help them promote inclusion and more opportunities for the disabled”.

We hope that the public will join us on February 2 and help us create.”
