Inspired by the glorious water gardens at the Naples Botanical Garden, this lotus flower displayed such luminance as the sun shone translucently through the petals. This one flower stood the tallest in the garden, reaching for the light, standing radiantly among its peers, compelling the artist to paint its beauty in her own artistic style.
The flower itself is painted with a glazing process of multiple light layers of color, building to a luminous result and a striking effect amidst its bold background.
