Artists of the Fakahatchee

I’ve enjoyed the distinct pleasure of participating with a group of talented artists and nature lovers over the past year+ in a monthly event called “Arts in the Fakahatchee ~ En Plein Air“.  We gathered in different locations in the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park and created our own works of art with our mediums of choice.  Thanks to the wonderful coordination and enthusiasm of Elizabeth Smith and Ranger Karen Relish for encouraging and supporting these monthly creative outings.  I truly appreciate the opportunity to DO ART in such an inspiring atmosphere.

Our group was recently invited to show our Fakahatchee art work at the Museum of the Everglades during the month of March.  The following link shows several of the artists and their works during the Artists’ Reception last weekend.

Some of the works are available for sale, with a donation to benefit the Museum and the Friends of the Fakahatchee.  The Museum of the Everglades is part of the Collier County Museums system.
