Options for Art Enthusiasts

As a resident living in one of the best small art towns in America, one can barely keep up with every art happening in Naples, Florida.  A great advantage for local residents and seasonal visitors is the variety of artistic offerings available for many to enjoy.

This past weekend, the Naples Art Association hosted an amazing art festival, with three more festivals sure to bring in thousands of art enthusiasts.  The ever popular Naples National (275 national artists) is coming up February 26-27.  The Mercato Fine Arts Festival is March 5-6, and the Downtown Naples Festival of the Arts (260 national artists) runs March 26-27.  These festivals are key to the Naples Art Association’s fund raising efforts for youth and adult education programs.  In addition to running these large festivals, the NAA also offers a more quaint art venue of Art in the Park just outside the von Liebig Art Center on Park Street downtown.  The remaining Art in the Parks this season will be held the first Saturday of each month, February 5, March 5, and April 2.  More info can be found at https://www.naplesart.org/

The second Saturday of each month (in season) is the Naples Artcrafters Fine Art & Craft Show starting this Saturday, January 8th in Cambier Park.  Subsequent show dates are February 12, March 12, and April 9, with more info at http://www.naplesartcrafters.com/

Also this Saturday, January 8th is Art After Dark at Crayton Cove, a small art walk.  The remaining seasonal dates for this evening art venue are February 12, March 12, April 9, and May 14.  Discover more at http://www.discovercraytoncove.com/

Not to be missed is the talented collection of artists, studios and galleries in the North Naples Arts Alliance.  Participating artists of the NNAA host a monthly (in season) event called Underground Art Wednesday, January 5, February 2, March, 2, and April 6.

A newcomer to the art scene is the Bayshore Festival of the Arts January 29-30 at Sugden Regional Park http://bayshorewp.naples.net/bayshore-festival-of-the-arts/ It will be exciting to see this venue grow over the years.

Besides all the opportunities for art buying and creative inspiration in Naples, another advantage of being among the best small art towns in America is the proximity to fantastic artworks.  Interior designers and decorators have a huge selection of artworks at their fingertips for the design and customization of area residences and businesses.

If you’re an artist or an art enthusiast, please stay tuned for future posts on the topic, as there will be plenty more to come.
